2015
Estate Reserve Zinfandel
Tasting Notes and Technical Information:

Every year, while assembling the blend for our Estate Zinfandel, we come across individual barrels from various vineyard blocks that we find to be exceptional. In selected years we assemble these special barrels to create our
“Estate Reserve” Zinfandel.
Our 2015 Reserve is composed of the most refined, concentrated and powerful lots in our cellar and was blended with the intention to age for several years. It has now beautifully softened with bottle age and can be enjoyed now.
The nose has complex and rich aromas of candied violets, toasty oak, roasted hazelnuts, red meat, blackberry, and plum jam. The palate is full-bodied, muscular and focused with streamlined tannins, smooth mid-palate, good acid structure and a long mineral-laced finish. It is the perfect companion to grilled lamb with rosemary, hearty beef bourguignon, braised short ribs and cumin-crusted seared pork loin.

Aging: 30 months in French and American Oak, 35% new
Bottling Date: April 14, 2018

Estate Reserve Zinfandel
Tasting Notes and Technical Information:

June is the perfect time of year to book a vineyard tour with us!

Choose from the following options:

Central Vineyard Tour

Duration: 1.5-2 hours Monday – Friday
Price: Wine club: $40 / General public: $50

First, we’ll explore where the Miraflores magic happens: our wine-making facility. There, we’ll do barrel tasting and learn about how our wine is made. After that, we’ll visit our central vineyards — where our Viognier and Muscat Canelli grows — before taking a seat in the shade for a tasting of three wines.
Southern Vineyard Tour

Duration: 1.5-2 hours Monday – Friday
Price: Wine club: $40 / General public: $50

On this tour, we’ll first stop at the wine-making facility for a barrel tasting and overview of how we make our wines. After that, we’ll set off to our southern vineyards, home to varietals ranging from Syrah to Tempranillo, Zinfandel, and more. While there, we’ll taste three different wines as we visit and learn about the vines and land they came from.
Northern Vineyard Tour

Duration: 2-2.5 hours Monday – Friday
Price: Wine club: $50 / General public: $60

As with our other tours, our first stop is the wine-making facility for a barrel tasting and overview of how we make our wines. Then, we’ll adventure up steep terrain to the top of our property to our northernmost and highest vineyards, and to taste their wines as we take in views of the valley and vines below.

For nearly a decade, Miraflores has hosted an array of accomplished guest chefs to prepare creatively-executed four-course menus, exquisitely paired with Miraflores wine chosen by their on-site Sommelier.
