Tasting Notes & Technical Information

Vinified & bottled at Rack and Riddle in Healdsburg, known and highly respected throughout California for their top custom sparkling wine services, we are proud to offer our second vintage of Blanc de Blancs.

Crafted with 100% Chardonnay sourced from three premium Sonoma County appellations; Carneros, Mendocino, and Russian River, this sparkling wine is as true to a Champagne as is obtainable here in the Sierra Foothills. Crafted in the traditional Methode Champenoise, or secondary fermentation in bottle, this wine is crisp and refreshingly dry while showcasing weight, balance, and structure.
Notes of orange blossom and honeyed pear stand out on the mid-palate that lead into a toasted almond biscuit finish.
Enjoy this wine with an alfresco summer brunch!

Did you know that Miraflores is available for an array of custom crush services? Our experienced cellar production staff is proud to offer 60 years of winemaking experience between them.

Fernando Abarca has been working solely at Miraflores since 2006 & under Marco Cappelli’s tutelage, has blossomed into an incredible winemaker who consistently keeps the elegant style & high quality that Miraflores has always been known for. He has consulted & worked with over 40 wineries, grape growers, & winemakers in the El Dorado, Fair Play, Amador, Calaveras, Clarksburg, and San Francisco areas.

Marco Cappelli has been an influential winemaker, working in the industry for over four decades. He has a wide array of experience, ranging from work in Sauternes, Tuscany, Chianti Classico, south Australia, and Napa. While in Napa, he became the winemaker at Swanson Winery, from 1987-2003, & worked with the great Andre Tchelistcheff, known as “America’s most influential post-Prohibition winemaker.” He then moved to the Fair Play AVA and became Miraflores Winery’s original winemaker in 2003, before he passed the torch to his protégé, Fernando Abarca in 2018.

Savannah Lemons has been with Miraflores Winery since 2014 & recently took over the role as cellar manager. She has studied at the International Culinary Center, where she became a Level 1 Sommelier. Her incredible palate along with our winemakers’ experience, provides our clients with the assurance that their wine will be handled with the utmost care & highest standard of quality. She coordinates directly with our custom crush clients & ensures the process is seamless and easy to navigate.

Bradley Leach has had a variety of experience in the wine industry, most of which heavily involves Miraflores. He worked for several years in the Miraflores tasting room & then moved on to become the wine buyer at a natural foods store in South Lake Tahoe. Brad’s is now Fernando’s right hand associate in the cellar.
