2021 Estate Barbera Rosé
Barbera grapes, estate-grown on a south-west facing hillside at 2600ft elevation were used for our newest release of Rosé. Picked at low sugar and high acidity, this wine was whole cluster pressed and fermented in neutral French oak with native yeast. Known for its high acidity, Barbera when picked early and pressed without crushing, produces a distinctive and delicious Rosé wine, crisp in acidity and long on flavor. 2021 was the vintage of the Caldor Fire and the distinctive smokiness of our Barbera in this wine is apparent, making it an excellent pairing for smoked salmon!
