Description
The grapes for this crisp and vibrant wine were sourced from a 2,100 ft. elevation site adjoining Coyote Creek in Murphys (in Calaveras County, at the southern end of the broad Sierra Foothills AVA). Thanks to a cool current of mountain air that descends along the creek valley from higher elevations and to clay/loam alluvial soils, this little vineyard is favorably placed for the earlier-ripening Pinot Grigio. Picked at 22.5° Brix and cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks, this wine is a true expression of the varietal and the terroir.
Our 2023 Pinot Grigio has wonderful expression of tropical fruit and fresh green apple aromas. The bright palate boasts flavors of tangerine, white nectarine, and lime, with a remarkably lush mouthfeel and crisp finish. Our Pinot Grigio pairs handsomely with lighter foods… ceviche is a must.
