Our #Winesday feature is our 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.

Our first vintage of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is structured with fine tannins and layered notes of Santa Rosa plum and blackberries, mingle on the mid pallet with complex notes of graphite, white pepper, forest floor, and spicy cedar box, ending with a long smooth finish of bourbon vanilla.

Aged in 100% new French Oak barrels for 22 months.

Happy #InternationalGrenacheDay 🍷

We are proud of our 2019 Estate Grenache! This wine received 90 points from @wineenthusiast and 92 points by @sunsetmag International Wine Competition and Gold at the Sunset Wine Competition!

A staple in the blends of the Southern Rhone and a fixture in most regions of Spain, where it is believed to have originated, Grenache is one of the most widely-planted varieties in the world. It thrives in warm climates and has found a happy home at Miraflores, perched high on our west-facing, well-drained hillside at 2,700 ft elevation. Ruby-garnet in color, with an intoxicating nose of snickerdoodle cookie and dried herbs of basil, oregano, and white pepper, this Grenache is soft, light bodied, and has a lovely finish of brambly raspberry. With its medium body and fresh acidity Grenache is the ultimate “food wine” and pairs well with a variety of dishes from braised beef and light curry dishes to macaroni & cheese or lentil soup.

Come experience a rare opportunity! An up-close and personal viewing of the release of a gorgeous barn owl that has been rehabilitated by Sierra Wildlife Rescue!

Miraflores is partnering with @sierrawildliferescue to bring awareness to our community about the importance of wildlife.

Here at Miraflores, we have 5 owl boxes throughout our vineyard which are built specifically to attract barn owls who play a key role in rodent control throughout our vines.

General Admission: $30
Club Members: $25

Ticket includes: Charcuterie board and a glass of sparkling wine for a sunset toast

$5 from each ticket and 10% of wine sales on the evening of the viewing will be donated to Sierra Wildlife Rescue

There will also be art for sale by Joy Martin!

5:30 PM - Enjoy wine and charcuterie on the patio while mingling with Sierra Wildlife Rescue Ambassadors of Education - A wonderful opportunity to learn more about the importance of our native birds and their role within the environment

6:45 PM - Sunset Owl release will take place in front of the winery along with a sparkling wine toast!

Savor the last bit of summer with a bottle of our Rosé!

Our award-winning Zinfandel vineyards are planted on well-drained decomposed-granite soils at an elevation of 2,200 ft in the Pleasant Valley area of El Dorado County. Head-trained and low yielding, they consistently produce wines with good structure and age-ability. For our latest vintage of our French-style Rose, we chose Zinfandel as these grapes were ripening the fastest our of all the vineyards. Showcasing a beautiful pale pink hue, this wine is as fresh and bright as a sunny spring day after a rainfall. Fresh strawberry and watermelon aromatics jump out of the glass and on the palate, it is refreshingly zippy and spritely, mingling with a sophisticated touch of dried thyme.
